For the ones who didn’t have a chance to bloom.
William was born in Washington, DC, where his creativity started at a young age, by simply drawing any and everything around him. Going back to his roots, the streets of DC later became a focus of his art. As a self-taught artist, he has been a freelance designer and illustrator for the past 10 years. He has most recently, a little less than a year to be exact, included Contemporary Painting to his long list of artistic talents, which has now become his main focus.
A lot of his work focuses on urban culture, aiming to explore the emotions of life using black figures, with each piece having its own meaning. He has worked with various artists, including those in fashion and music, all over the world.
Recent Work: “The Box They Tried to Put Me In” Collection – exhibited at ‘Brick Lane Gallery’, London, England. “Fear to Tread” exhibition at ‘Roger That! Gallery’, Bristol, RI. “All Roses Aren’t Red” solo exhibition at the Co-Creative Center, New Bedford, MA.
“The goal isn’t to only get my artwork on people’s walls, but rather to open doors and show what’s possible to kids that look like me.”
