Covid-19 updates

March 22, 2020 by Dena

We hope you are all staying safe and healthy and as calm as possible during these unsettling times! We miss working alongside all of you! The Co-Creative Center is closed starting Friday March 20 for everyone’s safety. Doors will remain locked during our shut down. No access for members or the public.

We hope to re-open our doors as soon as possible and will keep you updated here. Members, if you have an emergency please reach out to Dena through text or email to get into the space. Members’ April membership fee is waived on the center, in order to ease financial stress during our closure.

We have an active post on resources for the community here. And we’re active on the Co-creative center Facebook page with updates and information.

Sending you all love and healthy thoughts as we make through this as a community, please stay in touch and keep us informed on your well being! We are all in this together and hoping this makes us stronger!

The Co-Creative Center has received a Mass Development Collaborative Workspace grant through WHALe, The Waterfront Historic Area League.

Senator Montigny announced the $14,165 grant that will help the Co-Creative Center connect, support and celebrate artists and cultural entrepreneurship in New Bedford.

The grant will allow the Co-Creative Center to expand it’s equipment and infrastructure. Improvements include acoustic and sound isolation, IT enhancements, and professional artist’s equipment.

“Today’s New Bedford is bustling with creativity and entrepreneurship that has blossomed in our historic city,” the Senator Montiny said.
